Having the site blacked-out was pretty cool. (At least I think so!) Although, many sites joined in the protest, I’m not sure what the actual impact will be. I guess we’ll all find out on the 24th.
The biggest news of the week is the fact that I am no longer unemployed; I’ll be working for a major beverage company. (I can proudly say that I’m definitely not going to be the guy wearing the can-shaped mascot outfit, as suggested by a close friend!)
I would name the company, but I don’t think it’s a good idea to risk losing customers because I’m an atheist. It might sound crazy, but there are many religious nuts who would boycott the PepsiCola Company for hiring an atheist! (I obviously don’t work for “the other Cola,” but hopefully some idiot will boycott the nasty drink! (I don’t work for Coke, either. At least not directly!)
{For those of you who plan to visit us in Los Angeles, drink plenty of my new company’s products and save the proof of purchase in order to receive valuable *parting gifts!}
My first task as a new member of the family was to submit myself for a drug test. You would think the company would use the honor system and simply take my word that I am drug free, but we live in a different time. My ancestors never had to subject themselves to the humiliating task of urinating into a cup, but I digress.
The next bit of major news is the great sense of accomplishment that comes with putting all of the finishing touches on our screenplay. Better yet, is knowing that we have several “connected people” who are eager to read the script and pass it up the chain of command!
I’m sure there are other newsworthy occurrences, but tomorrow is a big day. We may actually have a chance to be hired to work on a project. *Fingers Crossed* Thursday will be a busy morning. (Pacific Time, of course!)
If any one is under the assumption that we moved to the West Side in order to party and impregnate young-dumb-impressionable women, the individual is one hundred percent dumbazian; we are on the grind!
*Parting gifts, in this instance, will not exceed $2.25!
