Being The Better Man

There are certain moments in life, in which each individual may be at the mercy of someone else. I am discussing the few instances that we all depend on someone in a position of authority. I am happy to say that, for the most part, most people enjoy helping others. The best of us will even go above and beyond to help our fellow man.

There are those rare incidents that we may encounter the “negative” people. These are the folks who gain a small amount of power, for the first time in their lives, and they feel the need to do their best to ruin everyone else’s day. (These “negative” people suck ass!)

If you ever come across one of these horrid people, do your best to be the better person. Don’t match their negativity. The “negative” people enjoy bringing others down to their level. The best approach is to understand that you are dealing with an unreasonable person and accept your loss. Always kill these people with kindness; they won’t know what hit them. They do not like it when others are happy! (These people are never worth the aggravation!)

Life will continue to move on and you will find a way to succeed!

The wonderful news is the fact that we live in a small world and you will most likely come across the same “negative” person who failed to assist you in your time of need. Human nature will naturally lean you towards vengeance, but fight the urge and stay positive. Do your best to help out the “negative” individual and show them that you are indeed the better person. Being vengeful means that the “negative” person succeeded in their goal of turning you into their negative realm.

Recently, I encountered one of these “negative” people, and I remained courteous and respectful. She could have helped me get out of a bind, with very little effort, but she refused. I accepted that she hated her life and I thanked her for her assistance. I wanted to stoop down to her level, but I have absolutely zero desire to become a negative person. Thankfully, I managed to find an alternate solution and her negativity failed to bring me down.

In the same incident, I encountered someone who was extremely helpful. Together we created a plan to counter the “negative” individual’s lack of kindness. As long as I continue to come across great people, I’ll be fine!

Always do your best to be a great person! No matter how many “negative” people you encounter, remember that there are more positive people inhabiting this planet!

I am enjoying life!

First and foremost, I enjoy writing stories. I recently completed my first novel, and I successfully co-wrote a short film script, which won the grand prize in the words made easy competition.

  1. Thanks Peter Teixeira … Just in time. I’m at a bar enjoying a Boston Lager and this bartender who I assumed I was a fine young lady started with the negative shit by suggesting I have Johnnie Walker! Thank god I had just read your post.. I strayed from her negativity and ordered a cognac and now I am one with the world.

the world would be a better place if everyone decided to help each other
