Starting Off With A Bang

2012 is officially my least productive year, to date. I haven’t worked a day, and I didn’t leave the house on New Year’s, although I had a blast at home! I guess one can say that I am on vacation. Not having to wake up and go to work may be great for some people, but unemployment is not for me; I feel weird. (Who knows, I may decide to go to work before I leave!)

Thankfully, I placed myself in a position to have options once I reach California; it doesn’t appear that I will go jobless for more than a few days. In keeping with my unemployed status, I’ve been hanging out with some fun people and enjoying the last few days on the East Coast. Tomorrow night should be a good time! (If you are attending the going away bash, please don’t expect great!)

For those of you who visited the site earlier in the day, I apologize for the late post. It seems that my mind is officially on Pacific Time. If you think about it, it’s not even seven AM.

Thanks to all the people who plan on attending tomorrow’s event. We understand that everyone may not be able to join us, therefore, we are not banning those who fail to make an appearance from visiting us in LA! (As if we actually had any control over the matter!)

For those of you without FACEBOOK, here is the invite. Created by @EFidalgo12:

GOLD RUSH – EMA & PETER SEND-OFF

On January 24th, 1848, James W. Marshall discovered gold at Sutter’s Mill, setting off one of the biggest cross-nation migrations in US history. To save his fortune from ruthless prospectors, Marshall hid his gold and passed down a secret map to his son. Nearly 164 years later, two Cape Verdean descendants will traverse the globe looking to unearth Marshall’s hidden treasure. Come help send them off.

The event will be at Restaurante Cesaria on Thursday, January 5th, 2012. We will start at 7pm and go until they kick us out!

First and foremost, I enjoy writing stories. I recently completed my first novel, and I successfully co-wrote a short film script, which won the grand prize in the words made easy competition.
